Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV), the largest privately held Pepsi-Cola bottler in North America, operates a large, fast-moving manufacturing facility in Garner, NC that had amassed over 76,000 work orders. PBV relied on a paper-based “green sheet” system that required one employee to spend about 20 hours a week managing paperwork, made work-order execution inefficient, and provided no way to track trends, control waste, or measure productivity.
