New Event Schedule Improves Community Engagement for Saginaw Township Schools

Saginaw Township Community Schools (Saginaw County, MI), led by Steve Elliott, Director of Community Services, struggled with a paper-based event scheduling system for its 600+ district employees. The district faced disorganization, duplicate bookings and overlapping events that caused day-of conflicts and extra administrative work.

Saginaw implemented Dude Solutions Event Management—building on a platform they already used for maintenance—which provided an online, color-coded calendar with school-specific views and easier setup. The new system eliminated lost forms and scheduling conflicts, improved the calendar’s appearance and usability, boosted staff morale, and increased community engagement with district events.
