Preview of the International Food and Beverage Organization Case Study

Leveraging healthcare and critical environment experience to launch EAM in the food and beverage industry

An international food and beverage organization with manufacturing sites in 20 countries and billions of dollars in production and utility assets needed a clearer, objective way to forecast and prioritize long‑term capital investments. Corporate leaders lacked consistent asset data and relied on subjective, site‑level spreadsheets, which hid deferred maintenance risk—especially in utility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire, building envelope) whose failures could disrupt production or compromise product safety.

Brightly implemented enterprise asset management using its Origin capital‑planning solution: standardizing asset naming and hierarchies, applying a documented risk‑ranking framework, validating inventory and condition on site, and developing 1–10 year capital plans integrated with the CMMS and the Facility Health Index. Results showed production assets below the Brightly deferred‑maintenance average (36% vs. 46%) but utility assets at 69%, signaling urgent investment needs; the client is now expanding this risk‑based approach to other sites globally.
