How The Ranch Manages 3,000 Annual Events with Brightly Software

The Ranch, Larimer County’s Event Complex in Loveland, CO, is a municipally owned 240+ acre facility with six buildings—including the 6,800‑seat Blue Arena—and hosts roughly 3,000 events a year, from hockey and rodeos to concerts and the Larimer County Fair. After unsatisfactory experiences with other CMMS platforms, the maintenance team needed a customizable system that could track an outsourced venue manager’s work, support flexible preventive‑maintenance schedules tied to real event use, and help forecast equipment failures to avoid costly downtime.

In 2023 The Ranch implemented Brightly’s Asset Essentials (and Predictor) with hands‑on setup and training from Brightly’s team. The solution lets the county give the contracted arena manager a separate login while retaining oversight, push and adjust preventive maintenance based on real data, and forecast repairs or replacements. The switch was seamless and has improved upkeep tracking for the Blue Arena and helped prevent outages during The Ranch’s busy event calendar.
