A Brightly Software Case Study
Fayetteville State University, a historically Black university in Fayetteville, N.C., serving about 6,787 students across a 156-acre campus, faced ongoing challenges keeping up with maintenance across numerous academic buildings, residence halls and dining facilities. A young facilities staff struggled to manage constant work-order requests from faculty, staff and students and needed a more reliable way to track and route tasks.
By implementing Brightly’s Asset Essentials, the university centralized maintenance communications with a single dashboard, launched a “Facilities Call 411” intake team and created a Microsoft-linked request form that auto-logs work orders into the system. The result: faster routing, better visibility into task status, the ability to focus on preventive maintenance and manage multiple sites from one place—making onboarding easier for new staff and reducing overlooked requests.
