City of Victor Harbor meets longterm needs with Brightly Assetic

The City of Victor Harbor, a small rural council an hour south of Adelaide with a AUD $352.3M asset portfolio, faced an urgent need to modernize. In 2019 the team moved away from disconnected, paper-based customer requests and ad hoc maintenance toward an enterprise asset management approach to ensure assets are maintained proactively, work is done right first time, and scarce resources are used efficiently.

Working with Brightly Assetic (migration began in 2018–2019 and was rolled out by asset class), the council implemented a cloud-enabled EAM with GIS and CRM integration, train-the-trainer rollout, field WHS reporting, dashboards and predictive modelling. The results include an 82% faster customer-request process (146 → 25 minutes, saving 121 minutes per request), major cuts in WHS document times, projected savings of up to 24,300 work hours on 2019 request volumes, and a sustainable renewal ratio of ~98%—delivering better reporting, compliance and long-term, data-driven asset planning.
