The City of Revere, MA, led by Mayor Daniel Rizzo and Public Works Director Donald Goodwin, needed to increase transparency and improve the efficiency of city services. A manual, phone-and-email work request process left residents without updates and made it difficult for staff to track, prioritize, and report on work orders.
Revere implemented FacilityDude’s MaintenanceEdge in September 2012 and, within ten months, streamlined communication with automatic updates, easy submission and tracking of requests, and clearer work prioritization. The system enabled regular performance reviews, better data and categorization (reducing uncategorized work orders), and helped the city complete over 4,000 work orders—improving both customer service and operational efficiency.
