A Brightly Software Case Study
Bristol City Council, acting as the Lead Local Flood Authority for the city, needed to maintain a statutory register of flood-risk assets but was still recording condition data by hand and transposing it into Excel. That workflow involved double handling, manual calculations, separate photo storage, and significant time spent correcting errors—leaving no single, reliable source of truth for asset information.
Working with Brightly, BCC adopted Confirm and ConfirmConnect with bespoke code to allow tablet-based, on-site entry of granular condition data, automatic calculation of overall condition scores, and real-time photo uploads directly to each asset record. The change eliminated double handling, saved substantial staff time, improved data accuracy, and established Confirm as the central system of record for all flood-risk assets.
