Bates College Switches to Asset Essentials for Cost-Effective, Customizable Facilities Maintenance Management

Bates College needed a more flexible, cost-effective facilities maintenance system after its previous on-site CMMS created extra work for IT and limited efficiency. The college chose Brightly Software’s Asset Essentials to replace it, seeking a cloud-based solution that could still support the customization and workflow needs of its facilities team.

Brightly Software implemented Asset Essentials with API-based customization, including a plug-in that uses priority leveling and workload data to automatically assign work requests and email expected completion dates. The change reduced IT maintenance burden, gave the facilities team more bandwidth, and improved request handling, while Bates said the pricing model let them grow with the product and use the features they needed without buying unnecessary licenses.
