How Solano County is Using Asset Essentials to Save Money and Maximize Efficiency

Solano County’s Facilities Management, led by Jason Alvarez, oversees roughly 55 buildings across seven cities and already had a 91% work-order completion rate. Wanting to move beyond reactive repairs and improve forecasting, scheduling and budgeting, the team sought to better leverage Brightly’s Asset Essentials to organize maintenance and extend asset lifecycles.

Working with Brightly Software and Alpha Facilities Solutions, Solano County implemented a preventive maintenance schedule in Asset Essentials, enabling equipment-history tracking, more accurate resource planning and precise budget requests. The new approach improved troubleshooting, extended asset life, reduced long-term costs, and positioned the county to integrate maintenance data with capital planning and other Brightly tools.
