ILP (International Language Programs) is a non-profit that sends college-age US students abroad to teach English. Although ILP produced dozens of articles to explain the program and answer concerns, much of that content was “buried” inside the site. That left two distinct visitor groups—pre-decision prospects who needed persuasive information and post-decision enrollees who needed operational details—resulting in missed engagement, high support interactions, and lost signups.
BrightInfo surfaced and personalized ILP’s content across the browsing experience and integrated with HubSpot smartlists to target segments automatically, with ongoing A/B testing. The impact was substantial: large increases in engagement (content visits and time on site), a ~20–22% rise in volunteers, and a significant drop in support workload (up to a 30% decrease in customer support reps), alongside major uplifts in A/B test metrics (content visits +142.9%, time on site +45.9%).
