Richland School District Two Harnesses Innovation to Improve Schools and the Community

Richland School District Two wanted to strengthen innovation across its schools and community, with leadership support already in place but a need for a better way to capture ideas, drive engagement, and run collaborative events. Using Brightidea’s cloud-based collaboration platform, the district organized idea sharing around challenges like student well-being, school culture, technology access, and school spirit.

Brightidea helped Richland School District Two run a day-long student hackathon involving about 100 students from all five high schools, while more than 300 students and 150 faculty and staff engaged on the platform beforehand. Brightidea enabled idea collection, discussion, instant voting during judging, and uploading of student pitches, making the event more seamless and interactive while creating a lasting record of the ideas shared.
