AXA doubles participation to 22,000 with Brightidea

AXA Insurance, a worldwide leader in financial protection, faced the challenge of engaging its global workforce in innovation. Their previous program, which focused on reusing existing ideas, lacked momentum. To become more agile and spark new innovation, they turned to vendor Brightidea and implemented its platform for their new "Start-in" program.

Using the Brightidea platform, AXA runs two innovation initiatives per year. This solution engaged 22,000 employees and generated 815 ideas, with the top 60 moving forward for prototyping. The results were significant, including the development of successful prototypes like a mobile safety app for the elderly and an assistive robot. Participation doubled from the previous year, and the company now plans to bring these ideas to market within a year of their creation.
