American Real Estate Agency, a New York real estate agency serving more than 1.3k B2B clients and 2k brokers, needed a stronger development partner for its subscription-based B2B web portal. After years of working with multiple remote vendors, the company faced heavy technical debt, outdated technologies, security issues, and no dedicated project manager or QA support. Brightgrove was brought in to take ownership of the portal and expand the client’s development capacity.

Brightgrove assembled a 16-person Dedicated Team, introduced Agile Scrum, added project management and Product Ownership support, and rebuilt the legacy platform on modern technologies including ASP.NET Core, .NET, Angular, React, and AWS. The team cleaned up more than 1 million lines of legacy code down to about 140k, raised unit test coverage to 80–100% for key areas, and improved response time from 35 seconds to under a second. Brightgrove also strengthened security, reduced third-party costs, and helped grow the portal into the number one real estate platform in the New York area.
