Feo Elektronik GmbH, a German ISO 9001:2015-certified electronics and embedded software company, needed to expand its in-house team for a new ARM microcontroller project without prior experience working with a remote vendor. The company was looking for two senior C/C++ engineers with rare RTOS expertise to develop a secure embedded application for smart traffic lights with voice alerts, and required an initial on-site presence in Germany for knowledge transfer. Brightgrove provided a Dedicated Development Team service to meet these needs.

Brightgrove quickly recruited and onboarded two senior embedded engineers in just two weeks, supported their two-month on-site work in Germany, and then hosted the team in its Kyiv R&D center with full infrastructure and retention support. Under Feo Elektronik’s Product Owner and a Scrum-like process, Brightgrove delivered ongoing embedded development, testing, documentation, and unit tests for the traffic light firmware. The engagement expanded engineering capacity rapidly and kept the project moving toward its planned release, scheduled for February 2020.
