Dropbox Automates Manual Work and Gains Visibility into Operations

Dropbox, a global cloud storage company supporting hundreds of millions of users, faced a growing burden as its legal team managed hundreds of matters and processed thousands of invoices each year. Their legacy legal spend system caused frequent invoice rejections, manual work for Legal and Finance, and poor visibility into spend. To modernize operations, Dropbox selected Brightflag’s legal spend management platform, including its patented AI invoice-review and Vendor Pay Sites features.

Brightflag integrated with Dropbox’s AP system, automated invoice review, accruals, and one-step matter opening, and provided dashboards and reporting for spend visibility. The implementation cut matter opening from 10 minutes to 30 seconds (about 4 days saved annually), automated AP routing (about 48 days saved/year), reduced accrual work (about 24 days/year) and eliminated many invoice rejections, with Brightflag delivering reported savings of roughly 12 weeks on invoice rejections/payment and 5 weeks on accruals—while speeding vendor payments and improving finance and legal efficiency.
