Case Study: General Mills achieves a data-driven insourcing strategy with Brightfield

A Brightfield Case Study

Preview of the General Mills Case Study

General Mills - Customer Case Study

General Mills, the world’s largest consumer foods manufacturer, was facing an underperforming workforce program with declining performance metrics and growing doubts about the value of its managed service provider (MSP) model. The company needed help deciding whether to insource the program or keep it outsourced, while also supporting a broader goal of unified workforce management across additional non-employee categories. Brightfield supported the assessment with its analytics and workforce strategy expertise, including Brightfield TDX.

Brightfield conducted a cost-benefit analysis to compare insourcing versus MSP outsourcing, reviewed program metrics, and created a three-year roadmap, governance model, SOPs, and reporting dashboards. As a result, General Mills made a data-driven decision to insource program and operations management, implemented an internal program management team, and gained ongoing analytics and predictive support for cost and quality management through TDX.
