Quill.com needed a modern, high-performing content hub that would resonate with customers, drive organic traffic and revenue to its ecommerce platform, and be technically cutting-edge. The existing blog failed to meet those goals, so SEO Program Manager Eugene Feygin led a company-wide initiative to overhaul content strategy, technology and UX.
Feygin implemented a data-driven content plan using competitive insights, increased publishing to three posts per week, redesigned site navigation and migrated the blog into a site directory, and optimized technical performance (WebP, Brotli, HTTPS, responsive design) to cut load time from over 3 seconds to about 0.5 seconds. Results included sub‑1s load times, 98% content indexation, an 800%+ increase in page‑1 keywords and a 272% year‑over‑year rise in organic traffic.
