Philips Blog Pilot for SEO Gains Drives 10,000 Visits Per Month in a Single Market

Philips Hue, a leading smart lighting brand, needed to move beyond product- and brand-focused content to reach consumers searching for lighting ideas and solutions. The challenge was to inspire and educate potential customers with relevant, non-branded content that would capture high-volume search traffic and align with the brand’s campaign calendar.

Using BrightEdge for keyword research and topic clustering, Philips launched a UK blog pilot, optimized content for SEO, and prioritized high-volume, low-competition topics. In six months the pilot generated an additional 10,000 visits per month in that market, 400,000 extra organic impressions with a 2.5% CTR, and is now being rolled out to the U.S., the Netherlands, and other markets.
