Video Brings Visual Storytelling to SPH’s Advertising Campaigns

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), a leading media organization in Asia with a portfolio of more than 25 websites and 50 apps reaching millions monthly, wanted to expand its digital advertising offerings by adding richer video storytelling. To do this it needed a flexible, API-driven video platform to deliver branded, editorial and interactive video across its sites and mobile apps.

SPH partnered with Brightcove Video Cloud and its BrandInsider team, integrating interactive functionality from HapYak for a Courts retail campaign that allowed viewers to choose story branches. The interactive format doubled views versus a prior similar video, increased viewing time by 50%, improved play-through rates, and enabled detailed analytics on conversions and store traffic—results SPH plans to replicate across other client campaigns.
