THR Increases Time Spent on Site With Brightcove Video Cloud

The Hollywood Reporter (THR), part of Nielsen Business Media and a long-standing entertainment trade publication, needed to scale its original video offerings across THR.com to deliver higher-quality, ad-supported viewing, better editorial features, and faster time-to-market. Its home-grown video system proved costly and slow, so THR sought a platform that could handle large volumes of content, custom editorial workflows, and new ad products.

Nielsen selected Brightcove Video Cloud for its flexibility, built-in engagement features, and editorial efficiency. After rolling out Video Cloud in 2008, video was integrated sitewide, driving substantial increases in visitors and more than tripling time spent on site, while enabling sponsorship, syndication to third parties, and serving as a model for other Nielsen properties.
