Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a top-ranked art and design college, wanted to move beyond static web pages to better engage and recruit millennial students. To showcase the school’s work and community through visual, person-to-person storytelling, RISD created an Online Viewbook featuring video profiles of students, alumni and faculty and highlights from programs and campus resources.

RISD selected Brightcove Video Cloud to power the Viewbook for its scalability, customization, engagement features and easy distribution, allowing the team to upload, organize and share rich media from a single platform. Since launch, the Viewbook’s traffic has risen 33%, overall site traffic is up 20%, admissions costs were cut by 20%, the print Viewbook was reduced in size, and the initiative has earned strong praise from students, faculty and prospective applicants.
