Politico Gets News-worthy Results with Brightcove Platform

POLITICO is a Washington-based, nonpartisan political journalism organization that launched in 2007 and publishes news online, in print and on mobile devices. As video became central to timely political coverage and a potential revenue stream, POLITICO needed a platform to publish and deliver video in real time across web and mobile properties and to speed up production and distribution.

POLITICO implemented the Brightcove online video platform, enabling producers to upload breaking video within minutes and deliver it to any device (example: rapid posting of President Obama’s Bin Laden announcement). The platform increased publishing speed and site traffic, improved viewer access and retention (70–75% average), introduced pre/mid-roll monetization and analytics, and supported API-driven features for a dedicated video section.
