OMS is Germany’s primary online sales and marketing engine for regional newspapers, operating more than 150 newspaper websites and reaching over 9.2 million monthly unique users. Facing the rapid growth of online video and the need to complement its display-ad network, OMS set out to build a syndicated online video network to let member newspapers publish local and licensed premium video and monetize that combined inventory.
OMS selected Brightcove Video Cloud for its scalability, flexibility, customization, platform integrations and ease of use, plus professional services to support rollout. Since launch, the platform has been deployed to 18 publishers (36 properties), syndicates 10–20 national videos daily, provides video site kits and widgets, and has helped early participants double or triple video traffic while opening new advertising and revenue opportunities as OMS plans expansion to 100+ newspapers.
