HUGO BOSS, a global leader in premium apparel, set out to raise the bar for its Fall/Winter 2012 BOSS Black show in Beijing by producing a first‑of‑its‑kind live 3‑D streaming event. After promoting the show with 70,000 free 3‑D glasses (which sold out), the company faced the technical and scale challenge of delivering a high‑quality 3‑D experience across multiple platforms and devices—especially to boost reach in China.
HUGO BOSS selected Brightcove Video Cloud and built customized cross‑platform players (with 2‑D/3‑D toggles and social sharing) supported by Brightcove’s global team. The event earned more than 70,000 live views (75% on hugoboss.com and hugoboss.cn), exceeded China‑reach goals with a 113% increase on Youku, produced a nearly tenfold rise in YouTube views, and drove significant website traffic and international media impressions.
