NAB Show, the National Association of Broadcasters’ flagship trade event that normally draws nearly 100,000 attendees and 1,500+ exhibitors to Las Vegas, was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Faced with the challenge of keeping the global broadcast and media community connected and informed, NAB needed a fast digital solution that could replicate the learning, networking, and exhibitor experience of the live event.
In just 45 business days NAB and Brightcove launched NAB Show Express on Brightcove’s video platform, delivering a two‑day digital event with on‑demand sessions, eight hours of streamed content daily, real‑time social clips and an online exhibitor marketplace. The solution reached 40,000 industry professionals, drove 1.6 million minutes of video consumption, featured 1,479 exhibitors and 200+ on‑demand sessions, and introduced 36% of viewers to NAB Show for the first time—demonstrating the scalability and engagement power of video.
