A Brightcove Case Study
Tennis Australia, the national governing body that runs events like the Australian Open and the Davis Cup, relies on video as the cornerstone of its content strategy to deliver inclusive, dynamic viewing experiences on and off the court. The 2017 Australian Open was a major test: the organization needed to publish hundreds of live and on-demand videos and serve more than 11 million views across a two-week tournament while delivering seamless, personalized experiences across devices and channels.
Using Brightcove Video Cloud and Brightcove Live’s cloud-based streaming architecture, Tennis Australia was able to stream 16 courts simultaneously, upload, transcode and publish hundreds of clips daily, and scale to meet demand. The solution made streaming fast and reliable, expanded audience reach across channels, increased engagement and commercial opportunities, and enabled Tennis Australia to confidently deliver a high-quality sporting experience at scale.
