Georgetown University Increases Online Engagement with Brightcove Gallery

Georgetown University, the nation’s oldest Catholic and Jesuit university with more than 17,800 students and a top‑25 undergraduate ranking, needed a more dynamic, centralized way to use video to recruit and engage prospective students amid intense competition in higher education. To showcase campus life, events and faculty while aggregating content from many schools and programs, Georgetown launched the video platform Georgetown Everywhere.

They implemented Brightcove Gallery — a customizable, cloud‑hosted, responsive solution with built‑in lead capture — which launched in days and eliminated separate native apps, delivering immediate monthly savings of $1,500. The platform supports playlists with unique URLs for individual schools, streams about 10 new videos per month (nearly 1,000 by year end 2015), and has increased engagement, traffic and time on site.
