The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), a global evangelical broadcaster founded in 1960, needed to move beyond legacy television to meet shifting audience habits. Viewers wanted a single, consistent way to access CBN’s news, family and original programming on connected TVs and smart devices without forcing the organization to reallocate production resources.
CBN launched the CBN Family app using Brightcove Beacon’s SaaS OTT platform, deploying across Roku, Apple TV, Android, Samsung Tizen and Amazon Fire with a single interface and API-driven customization. The rollout delivered thousands of on-demand videos in one place, improved cross-content navigation, drew strong user response, and positioned CBN to grow its audience by meeting viewers on the devices they use most.
