A Brightcove Case Study
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences relaunched Emmys.com in 2009 to strengthen ties between viewers, members and the artists behind Emmy‑nominated programming, but needed a robust, easy-to-manage video solution to deliver high‑quality clips with limited staff and resources. High-quality video was a core requirement for the site, yet the Academy required an OVP with a strong CMS that could be updated and maintained efficiently.
The Academy implemented Brightcove Video Cloud, which provided simple management, multi‑format transcoding, YouTube sync and seamless delivery to mobile apps and other channels. The platform enabled year‑round video programming, a private “For Your Consideration” channel with direct uploads for members, and analytics to guide content planning—resulting in expanded reach, better use of internal resources and a consistently high‑quality viewer experience.
