Brightcove Puts Online Video Front-and-Center for L’Express

L’Express, one of France’s leading weekly news magazines with millions of print and online readers, needed a modern online video solution to replace its aging in-house player. The legacy system lacked mobile and connected-TV support, limited interactive features (pre-rolls, chapters), and made uploads, categorization and CMS integration slow and fragmented.

In 2010 L’Express implemented Brightcove Video Cloud with support from partner Hub’Sales to enable cross-platform playback, simplified uploads and syndication to Facebook and YouTube, and API-driven CMS integration for custom viewing experiences and future connected-TV delivery. The move drove a fourfold increase in monthly video views (now 350k–550k), enabled pre-roll monetization, improved analytics and audience reach, and made the publisher’s video assets easier to manage and promote.
