The Humane Society of the United States, the nation’s largest animal protection organization with 11 million supporters, produces extensive video content across nearly 100 campaign microsites to document rescues, investigations and advocacy. Managing that large library and reaching audiences on multiple devices was inefficient and slow—encoding and uploading to each platform took time, and the group needed faster, more secure ways to publish urgent, time‑sensitive footage and drive donations.
HSUS implemented Brightcove Video Cloud to centralize publishing and auto‑generate multiple renditions from a single file, enabling rapid uploads even from remote locations and delivery to mobile and connected TV (HD on Apple TV/iTunes, with Roku planned). Brightcove’s YouTube sync, location‑based calls to action and secure in‑player donation pages increased audience reach, sped turnaround, simplified content management across properties, and strengthened fundraising opportunities.
