Blue Juice is a digital media agency that creates video content and mobile apps. When its kitesurfing series "The Kite Show" began attracting a growing global audience, the agency needed stricter distribution control (clients disallowed branded platforms like YouTube/Vimeo), reliable support for licensed music, and dynamic ad options to monetize longer-form content and meet viewer experience requirements.
Blue Juice implemented Brightcove Video Cloud, using customizable players, APIs and smart playlists to segment long videos, integrate pre/mid/post-roll ads, and whitelist the player for Facebook embedding. The result: easier targeted delivery across web and mobile, higher minutes watched and overall viewership, stronger ad reporting, and a doubling of Facebook Likes (from ~3,500 to 7,000) in three months.
