FishFlicks is an Australian subscription video‑on‑demand service for recreational fishers, hunters and 4x4 enthusiasts, hosting more than 1,300 videos. Its custom legacy video pages became increasingly unreliable—long buffering, reduced quality and site crashes during peak weekend traffic—threatening subscriber experience and revenue.

As an interim fix, FishFlicks deployed Brightcove Gallery (integrated with Brightcove Video Cloud) overnight, using customizable templates to preserve the site’s look and letting non‑developers manage content. The change eliminated playback issues, handled peak loads, and drove a 150% increase in video viewing duration; FishFlicks has since launched a new custom site while continuing to use Brightcove for video hosting.
