SoftBank, a major communications and B2B solutions company, needed a better way to understand and engage customers digitally as sales teams faced limited time for in-person meetings. For its annual SoftBank World event, SoftBank turned to Brightcove’s Video Marketing Suite and Brightcove Live to capture accurate viewing logs and support live/on-demand streaming, helping it collect more meaningful customer data.
With Brightcove, SoftBank was able to track detailed viewing metrics such as views, watch time, and timestamps, while simplifying internal video operations. The result was a 1.4x increase in registered users and more than 100,000 video views across 37 live streams, with 35 sessions later made available on demand. Brightcove also helped reduce staff workload and improve the viewing experience through features like adaptive bitrate streaming.
