Boddice Accounting, founded by Vicki Boddice after she left the Big Four and a stint running a nail salon, faced the classic small‑firm challenge of scaling while staying on top of compliance, onboarding, deadlines and client communication — all while balancing family commitments and recovering from burnout. To organise and automate her processes she adopted Bright's AccountancyManager (AM) practice‑management software.
Bright implemented AM’s automations — templated engagement letters with automated re‑signing, one‑click onboarding task lists, a secure client portal with e‑signatures, built‑in AML and risk checks, recurring tasks and automated client/chaser emails — so that routine admin is handled reliably. The results: onboarding times dropped from hours to 24–48 hours (engagement letters issued in about 30 minutes), a separate AML tool was cancelled, client satisfaction improved, and Boddice Accounting grew to roughly 40 clients, freeing Vicki to focus on growth and client relationships thanks to Bright.
