EP Tax, a growing accountancy practice that expanded from two people to nine and added hundreds of clients since 2018, needed to move informal, “bitty” processes out of spreadsheets and into a single system to manage rapid client growth, onboarding and everyday task management. To solve that, they adopted Bright’s practice-management solution (AccountancyManager), aiming to centralise task lists, automate client requests and reduce time spent chasing documents.
Bright implemented AccountancyManager features including a firm-wide Task List, automated onboarding emails/texts and ID/UTR reminders (set to repeat every three days), templated letters of engagement and AML/risk checks, a Client Portal with 45+ guides, and time-tracking. As a result EP Tax has scaled quickly—taking on over 120 new clients this year (rising from ~500 to 520 in four weeks), cut client calls by surfacing information in the portal, sped up engagement processing, and gained time data to inform pricing decisions. Bright’s platform thus reduced manual admin and improved operational visibility across the firm.
