Blood and Sand - Customer Case Study

Blood and Sand is a high-end private restaurant in downtown St. Louis known for personalized craft cocktails and a creative food menu. After early iPad POS failures left them with poor service and almost no actionable reporting, their main challenge was business intelligence — knowing who their repeat customers were, what they ordered, and how often they returned. To solve this they moved to Brigade Society (using Brigade POS and its Analytics/Business Intelligence Platform).

Brigade Society delivered customer analytics, menu‑pairing insights, and granular server performance reports. Using Brigade Society’s data they ran a targeted dinner for 15 top customers that produced 22 new member sign-ups and $3,960 in revenue on a $445 cost (789% ROI); menu‑pairing prompts lifted the Blood & Sand cocktail pairing rate from 62% to 71%, increasing monthly cocktail sales from 44 to 62 (profit $144); and server training informed by Brigade Society reduced the top two servers’ share from 81% to 67% while boosting wine sales 8% (profit $284).
