Case Study: Skanska achieves 9–14 hours/week time savings and real‑time workforce visibility with Bridgit Bench (Bridgit)

A Bridgit Case Study

Preview of the Skanska Case Study

How Bridgit Bench helps Skanska drive operational efficiency

Skanska, a global construction and development company founded in 1887 and with a 300+ person Portland office, was managing workforce planning with four separate Excel sheets maintained by a single person—making the data hard to read, slow to update, and ill-suited to dynamic project needs. The office needed a more efficient, accessible system for construction resource management.

In November 2019 Skanska Portland adopted Bridgit Bench, a simple, cloud-based tool that let managers update staffing with minimal training and from any device. The change delivered weekly time savings of about 9–14 hours (reducing a 10–15 hour task to roughly 40 minutes divided among four people), provided real-time availability for better decisions, improved team utilization and diversity, aided recognition with employee photos, and increased agility in responding to pandemic-driven schedule changes.
