Museum of Science and Industry builds a 100% in-house interactive exhibit with Bridgewater Studio

Bridgewater Studio was engaged by the Museum of Science and Industry to create an interactive exhibit for its Science Storms Gallery. The challenge was to design and fabricate an educational installation about magnetic properties that required a meticulously crafted, airtight, and particle-free environment to ensure a successful experiment.

To meet this challenge, Bridgewater Studio designed and CNC-machined custom aluminum housings in-house to hold the exhibit's components, including a concealed industrial-grade induction heater. They programmed a sophisticated infrared camera system with software to monitor temperature and movement, incorporating multiple fail-safes. The solution resulted in a durable and engaging exhibit that effectively educates museum visitors on scientific principles.
