A Bridgewater Studio Case Study
The First Division Museum at Cantigny engaged Bridgewater Studio to create an outdoor exhibit commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The challenge was to transform an empty 300-yard landscape into a durable and captivating experience that could withstand outdoor elements while accurately representing the historic battlefield and honoring the soldiers.
Bridgewater Studio designed a powerful journey through the physical space, utilizing digital fabrication and direct-to-substrate printing to create an analog augmented reality experience. The solution included sculptural elements engineered for wind load and a permanent installation with durable anchors. The result was a moving and powerful tribute that resonated deeply with both the museum's staff and guests, ultimately evolving from a temporary exhibit into a more permanent installation.
