Bridgewater Studio was approached by American Place Casino to create two massive and highly detailed 3D printed dragon sculptures for an Asian-fusion-themed restaurant. The primary challenge was managing the enormous amount of data required to print each sculpture due to their physical size, intricate detail, and textured finish, which proved to be a significant technical hurdle.

The solution implemented by Bridgewater Studio involved engineering steel skeletons for support and utilizing 10 industrial SLA 3D printers running simultaneously to complete the project in weeks instead of months. Each 18-foot long dragon, weighing 2,600 lbs, was fabricated with integrated LED backlit eyes. This approach by Bridgewater Studio successfully brought the detailed sculptures to life for the casino's immersive guest experience.
