iAPPS leveraged to create and maintain a cohesive online presence

The American Psychiatric Association (APA), founded in 1844 and representing more than 36,000 psychiatric professionals, needed to modernize psychiatry.org. Legacy infrastructure made content maintenance and delivering a world‑class user experience difficult for its diverse audiences—the public, media, trainees and practicing professionals—and the association sought a partner to help the site reflect APA’s thought leadership while integrating with existing systems.

Bridgeline Digital deployed the iAPPS suite (Content Manager and Analyzer), redesigned site architecture and search, created extensive indexing and calendar tools, and integrated the site with Personify and YAF under a managed hosting model. The relaunch improved member access and collaboration and produced strong traffic gains—visits up 52%, unique visits up 61%, and a sustained ~40% increase—while APA plans to add iAPPS Marketier and Commerce to extend functionality.
