Good Shepherd Medical Center, a progressive not-for-profit hospital in Hermiston, Oregon, needed to modernize its backup and disaster recovery approach to align with MEDITECH best practices. Working with BridgeHead Software and partner INHS, the hospital sought a better way to protect its MEDITECH environment, capture server images, and support both local and remote backup without relying on slow, tape-based recovery.

BridgeHead Software implemented its Healthcare Data Management (HDM) platform, including MEDITECH Integrated Serverless Backup (ISB), Integrated Disaster Recovery (IDR), Deduplication for Backup and Recovery, and MEDITECH Scanning and Archiving. The result was a more efficient DR setup with snapshots every four hours, successful policy-based archiving, and local plus cloud-based recovery protection. BridgeHead Software also helped Good Shepherd Medical Center protect three times as much data, including enterprise images, in the same amount of time.
