Case Study: Vermessung AVT boosts productivity and market position with Bricsys (BricsCAD + GeosiPlan)

A Bricsys Case Study

Preview of the Vermessung AVT Case Study

The surveying company AVT generates its survey plans with BricsCAD® and Geosi

Vermessung AVT is an Austrian surveying firm based in Imst that performs cadastral and technical surveys, airborne photogrammetry, laser scanning and GIS processing, and develops its own surveying software suite Geosi (including the GeosiPlan module). The company faced a business challenge due to dependency on Autodesk/AutoCAD’s subscription licensing, which stagnated Geosi sales and prompted AVT to seek a cost-effective, permanently licensed CAD platform.

AVT moved GeosiPlan onto Bricsys’s BricsCAD, purchasing over 80 seats of BricsCAD Pro perpetual licenses and integrating its Geosi extensions (and a stereo‑photogrammetric “capture” extension) directly into the BricsCAD environment. The Bricsys solution increased productivity and functional capability of AVT’s tools, strengthened AVT’s market position, led IDC EDV GmbH to become Bricsys’s main sales partner in Austria, and generated a significant uptick in new clients for BricsCAD.
