Playrite, a UK-based designer, manufacturer and installer of artificial sports surfaces, struggled with slow, manual processes: playing areas were hand-sketched, costs estimated by hand, and each turf roll had to be designed for manufacture individually. To automate tasks and scale their workflow they adopted Bricsys’ BricsCAD as a single CAD platform.

Bricsys supplied BricsCAD and a local reseller/developer, CADaptor Solutions, created a customized application on top of it that automates layout, recalculates the most economical roll supply, and generates the required roll counts and production sequence. As a result, Bricsys’ BricsCAD lets Playrite produce design, cost estimation and manufacturing layouts “in a matter of minutes,” boosting productivity, creating end-to-end transparency from quotation to invoicing, and giving Playrite a clear competitive edge.
