A Bricsys Case Study
Mazda Motor Corporation needed a cost-effective CAD solution to support its factory and assembly-line design work, which begins in 2D but is rapidly moving toward more 3D modeling. Faced with high license costs and limited seats from its previous software, Mazda adopted Bricsys’s BricsCAD to handle 2D layouts for production lines and provide a path to 3D CAD.
Bricsys delivered BricsCAD licenses that offered the same functionality and stability at a much lower price, enabling Mazda to deploy many more seats both at its Japan headquarters and at overseas plants. The result was smoother workflows, a largely frictionless transition to increased 3D modeling (with many employees already using BricsCAD), and measurable cost savings through expanded, globally usable licensing.
