Dook Techniek chooses BricsCAD Mechanical to support its machine-building operations

Dook Techniek, a small Dutch machine-building and mechatronics firm, needed to move from primarily electrical and PLC work to robust 3D mechanical design while keeping costs and licensing simple. The company had been using AutoCAD® LT but required a full 3D mechanical package with DWG compatibility and a perpetual license—requirements met by Bricsys’ BricsCAD Mechanical (with the Communicator for STEP files).

Bricsys’ BricsCAD Mechanical was installed (via reseller CADkoop) and the transition was quick and smooth: Dook Techniek converted a 2D drawing into a 3D model in under 30 minutes, and now uses BricsCAD for sheet metal, 2D/3D modeling, materials handling and STEP interoperability. The result is faster, more accurate designs, easier data extraction from client drawings, and higher productivity and satisfaction with Bricsys’ solution.
