Waitr, the on-demand restaurant delivery and carryout platform hiring 1,800 drivers per month, streamlined their entire recruiting process with Breezy

Waitr, a Lake Charles–based food & beverage delivery and carryout platform, faced a chaotic, manual hiring process across markets with no ATS — paper files and spreadsheets were the norm, and high-volume, seasonal hiring (1,800 drivers in August) exposed major inefficiencies after a public service lapse in 2016. To standardize and scale recruitment, Waitr adopted Breezy HR’s applicant tracking and career-portal solutions, plus integrations with their LMS and backend systems.

Breezy HR automated account creation and background checks, enabled self-scheduling for interviews, powered a custom careers portal via API, and sent stage-based automated emails — cutting administrative work and streamlining onboarding. The changes save about 2.5 hours of manual work, support hiring at scale (thousands of drivers), and helped drive time-to-hire for drivers down to roughly one week, with ongoing goals to compress interview-to-onboard to 15 minutes.
