One Small Step for Brazen, One Giant Leap for Wilko

Wilko asked Brazen PR to help build fame for its own-brand toy range, BLOX, in the run-up to Christmas as part of its “Let’s Make Christmas!” theme. The challenge was to create standout awareness for the toys, especially the Blox Astronaut, and drive interest through a memorable seasonal campaign.

Brazen PR turned a customer story into a bold stunt, sending a Wilko Blox Astronaut into outer space and back, reaching 37,800 metres on a 2.5-hour journey. Brazen PR photographed and filmed the activation, securing national and international coverage across titles including the Independent, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, UNILAD, AOL and New York Post, generating 16 hits, 360m PR reach, 3.2m social reach, and over 500k video views on Wilko’s Facebook page at a cost per view of £0.003.
